After years of sea-sawing enrollment figures, administrators with the Bowling Green R-I School District are saying that they believe the district’s enrollment has stabilized at 1,272 students after a decades-long gradual decrease in enrollment.
This year’s enrollment figures, which do not include students enrolled in the district’s pre-kindergarten program, are still a far cry from when the district’s enrollment peaked in 1976, when according to the Bowling Green Times archives there were 1,855 students enrolled at the local school district.
