Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Katherine Hobkirk, 95, of Louisiana, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana.
The Rev. Randall Cone officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana.
Mrs. Hobkirk passed away on Feb. 18, 2014 at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
She was born on March 10, 1918 in Busch, Mo., the daughter of Wade and Nora Poyser Travis. She married Russell W. Hobkirk on April 4, 1949 in Springfield, Mo. and he survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Kay Rottman of Louisiana and Patsy Colbert of Bowling Green; two grandsons, Russell Rottman of Louisiana and Jason Colbert of St. Louis; one granddaughter, Rhonda Peasel of Mesa, Ariz.; seven great–grandchildren, Justin Rottman and Jennifer Potter of Bowling Green, Brian Rottman of Springfield, Ill., Braden Peasel and Austin Peasel of Mesa, Ariz., and Kane Colbert and Kai Colbert of St. Louis; two sisters, Mary Akers of Louisiana, and Pauline Davis of Elsberry.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Rottman; four brothers; and two sisters.
She had been employed at Kamp-Tog Garment Factory in Clarksville until her retirement. She was a member of the Louisiana Elkettes. In her pastime she loved to spend time at their family camp on the river and fish.
Pallbearers were Jim Wood, Kenny Lame, Allan Akers, Clark Pointer, Russell Rottman, Jason Colbert, and Justin Rottman.
