Mrs. Irvine was born on Aug. 20, 1933, in Hull, the daughter of Russell and Ethel M. O’Brien Arnold. She married Robert Irvine on Nov. 2, 1952 in Hull, at her parents’ home by the Rev. John Golden.

Her parents; three sisters, Myrtle Winn, Louise Bock and Lula Willis; and a daughter, Linda Ford; preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Jody) Grammer of New Canton, Ill. and Susan (Ken) Harrison of Rockport, Ill.; one son, Steve (Diana) Irvine of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Edward (Wanda) Arnold of Hannibal, and Kenneth Arnold of Henley; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Genevieve was a member of the Pittsfield Nazarene Church.  She taught Sunday School and each year made a Christmas stocking for her students embroidered with their name.  She was also involved with the Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs.

When the Hull High School burned down, the students were transported to Hannibal High School. It was here that Genevieve met Bob, and that is the rest of the story.
