On Tuesday, Feb. 25 State Representative Jim Hansen made his way to the Secretary of State’s Office to file for re-election.
“My wife Cindy and I, along with my family, have been overwhelmed by the support we have received over the last two years”, Hansen said. “It truly has been an honor to serve as the Representative for all of the great people in the 40th District. Over the last two years I have had the opportunity to meet so many new people that I am now proud to call friends. The ability to meet so many neighbors from all corners of the district and work to address their concerns truly makes this job worth it.”
When asked what his greatest accomplishment was in his first term, Hansen pointed to his success in securing funds for the Pike-Lincoln Technical Center.
“Getting the $1 million secured for Pike-Lincoln in my first year was truly something I will never forget. That money will lead to a better technical education for students throughout the district. The success my office has had on working with constituents on specific issues has also been very rewarding,” Hansen said.
Jim Hansen was elected in 2012 and currently resides in Frankford with his wife Cindy.
