What is being billed as the first new senior housing project in the City of Bowling Green in more than a decade, Heritage Place Apartments is scheduled to tentatively open to residents on Friday, Aug. 31.
The 40-unit housing development was designed by WoodCo, Inc., of Kansas City, and is being managed by Wilhoit Properties, of Springfield. In addition to the two-bedroom and one-bedroom apartments, the housing development also includes a club house that will feature a large community sitting room, a fitness center, and a full kitchen.
As was previously reported by the Times, the apartments range in size from 665 square feet to 960 square feet. The apartments come fully furnished with appliances, including individual washer and dryer units.
According to the Wilhoit Properties employee and Heritage Place Property Manager, Ami Poole, of Elsberry, more than 15 of the 40 housing units have already been leased to residents, including some from outside of the community.
In an interview last week, Poole said the housing development will see residents from Mexico, Louisiana, Troy, and Hannibal relocating to Bowling Green. Poole also added that there has been multiple individuals from out-of-state expressing interest in the property.
Those interested in leasing an apartment or with questions regarding the property are encouraged to contact Poole at (573) 253-4214. Heritage Place Apartments are located at 1339 Business Hwy. 61, in Bowling Green.
