Pike’s Officials push for shopping local amid report of decline in county sales tax revenue

As Pike County area residents prepare to share yuletide greetings and gifts, the county’s elected officials are encouraging area residents to shop and eat locally after a recent report revealed the county’s sales tax revenues had continued to slide downward for the third consecutive month.
According to Sales Tax Distribution Deposit forms that were obtained by the Bowling Green Times, the county has received $634,402.99 in sales tax revenue for the county’s general revenue account so far this year. That number is $12,321.95
