The Bobcats hit Highway 54 headed eastbound Thursday as they prepared to face off against their Pike County rivals, the Louisiana Bulldogs.
Louisiana’s single point advantage in the first quarter set the trend for the rest of the game and ultimately spelled out defeat for the Bobcats.
The 59-38 final score sealed the deal on the Bobcats’ second loss in a row.
With a 44 percent field goal stat and making only 38 percent of their free throws, it seems as though the Bobcats were simply off their offensive game Thursday night.
Bowling Green grabbed 22 rebounds. As a team, they had 12 fouls.
Senior Corey Brown led the ‘Cats in scoring, making 13 points. Andrew Martinson and Malik McPike added seven points each.
