A Louisiana man pleaded guilty Thursday, July 25 in Pike County Circuit Court to being the getaway driver for three of five Pike County Jail inmates who escaped in September 2012.
Tordale Chatman, 31, was sentenced to four years in prison by Pike County Circuit Court Judge Chris Kunza Mennemeyer, who immediately suspended the sentence for the five-year probation term. That means Chatman could be sent to prison if he violates his probation.
Chatman drove Louisiana residents and jail escapees Jacob A. Darnell, Jason A. Darnell, and Emanuel G. Chatman from Bowling Green to the Louisiana area right after the breakout. The three escapees have since been sentenced to prison.
