Sheriff Stephen Korte reports that on Nov. 25 Deputies with the Pike County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jimmy Langley, 52, of Clarence. A Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Langley’s vehicle on Highway 61 near Route UU for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the Deputy could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A vehicle search was performed. The Deputy located and seized marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription medication. The pills located were identified as Diazepam, a controlled substance.
Pike County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Fisher has charged Langley with a class C Felony of Possession of a controlled substance. Judge David Ash issued a warrant for Langley’s arrest with bond being set at $10,000 cash only. Langley is currently being held in the Pike County Jail in lieu of cash bond.
