On Friday, the Bowling Green High School Lady Bobcats track and field team traveled to Hannibal to compete in the 2018 Mark Twain and Becky Thatcher Relay meet.
Below are the results of the track meet, which was attended by schools from both Missouri and Illinois:
100 Meter Run
In seventh-place in this event was Saige Mayfield, BGHS junior, with a time of 14.31 seconds. In eighth-place was BGHS student Cheyanne Talley, who finished with a time of 14.42.
200 Meter Run
In the 200 Meter Run on Friday, Kinley Charlton finished in sixth-place with a time of 29.71. Charlton is a sophomore at BGHS.
400 Meter Run
In the 400 Meter Run, Bowling Green’s Hannah Kroencke finished in fifth-place. Kroencke posted a time of 1:05.20.
Also competing in this event was Caleigh Grote, a BGHS sophomore. Grote finished in seventh-place with a time of 1:05.86.
800 Meter Run
BGHS freshman Camryn Grote finished in seventh-place in 800 meter run, which she finished with a time of 2:42.95. Also competing in this event was Quinn Grote, who finished in eigth-place with a time of 2:45.42.
1600 Meter Run
Competing in the event from BGHS were Taylor Blair, who finished with a time 6:18.07, and Nichole Bruni, who finished with a time of 6:34.24.
3200 Meter Run
BGHS Junior Kate Klott finished in sixth-place with a time of 13:12.10. Sylvia Wagner finished in eighth-place with a time of 14:00.18.
100 Meter Hurdles
Kaya Rushin, a BGHS sophomore,
finished the hurdles event in fourth-place with a time of 18.16. Tayler Johnson also competed in the event. She finished in 11th-place with a time of 21.53.
300 Meter Hurdles
Bowling Green’s Vanessa Davis posted 52.28 time in the 300 meter hurdles on Friday. This is a one second improvement over her previous career best time of 53.15.
Competing in the Shot Put event on Friday was KateLynn Charlton. In the overall standings, Charlton came in fourth-place with a throw of 35 feet, 6.5 inches.
Representing BGHS in the discus event was KateLynn Charlton. Charlton finished in third-place with a throw of 118-feet, 1 inch.
KateLynn Charlton finished second with a throw of 96-feet, 3 inches. Madison Schroeder finished third with a throw of 94-feet, 5 inches.
All-state high jumper Jaylen Early took second in the event with her best jump coming at 4-feet, 10 inches.
Also competing in this event was Caleigh Grote, who finished in sixth-place with a jump of 4-feet, 4-inches.
Bowling Green’s Kinley Charlton ended up in 13th-place after a jump of 13-03.
Kaya Rushin took third-place with a jump of 32-08.25. Tayler Johnson took 13th-place with a jump of 26-03.
