During the Louisiana Colorfest weekend of Oct. 19-21, the Louisiana High School Class of 1962 enjoyed a very memorable, fun-filled gathering to mark the 50th-year anniversary of their graduation.
As guests of classmate Carolyn Gillette White and husband Larry, the group kicked off the event with a joyous “Welcome Back Fellowship” at the Louisiana Elks Club on Friday evening.
Saturday morning, the class enjoyed displaying their float in the Colorfest parade. The theme of their float was “Do you remember these… We do!” and featured murals of by-gone Louisiana landmarks. One of these murals, the R.R. Rowley Annex of the high school, was an exceptionally special one for the group as the Class of 1962 was the last high school class to graduate from that building.
