Local hunter found dead

A 58-year-old deer hunter was found dead Sunday evening.
Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte has identified the deceased as Randall Woodall, 58, of Louisiana.
According to the county law enforcement officials, Woodall was hunting from a tree stand near Pike County Road No. 9125 when he allegedly fell 12 feet to the ground.
Pike County 9125 is part of a subdivision, which is located between Frankford and Louisiana on Hwy. YY.
According to law enforcement officials, Woodall was allegedly found on the ground by his wife.
Authorities rushed to the scene after receiving a 911 call at 6:09 p.m.
At the scene, Pike County Coroner Chris Stark pronounced Woodall as deceased at 6:36 p.m.
In a telephone interview with the Bowling Green Times, Korte said that he didn’t believe that Woodall was wearing a safety harness at the time of his death.
According to Collier’s Funeral Home in Louisiana, funeral services for Randall Woodall will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the aforementioned funeral home.
The Rev. Stan Henderson will officiate the funeral service.
Visitation for family and friends of the deceased will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
There is no information as of press time about graveside services.
