Funeral services for Margaret Irene Niffen, 38, of Bowling Green, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 26, at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Nathan Moore will officiate.
Visitation will be held from noon until time of services today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bowling Green.
Margaret passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at her home near Louisiana.
She was born Aug. 12, 1974 in Louisiana, the daughter of Glenn and Anita Welch Niffen.
She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Anita Welch Niffen of Bowling Green; two sisters, Kimberly Dalene Niffen and Jennifer Malene Lehenbauer and fiancée, Steven Wright, all of Bowling Green; two brothers, Glenn Delbert Niffen, II and Jeffrey Lynn Niffen, both of Bowling Green; nieces, Jenna Irene Niffen, Ashley Nicole Niffen, Megan Lynn Niffen, all of Bowling Green; nephews, Brandon Michael Niffen and wife, Jennifer and Glenn Delbert Niffen III, all of Bowling Green; three great-nephews; Adien Jackson Niffen, Hunter Dayne Niffen and Jaden Michael Luoma, all of Bowling Green; one great-niece, Haley Nicole Wright, of Quincy, Ill.; and her best friend, Angel Humphrey and son Aaron of Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Irene Adams Welch, and paternal grandparents, Virgil and Maggie Chandler Niffen.
She graduated from high school in Crocker in 1992. She later attended Hannibal-LaGrange College at Hannibal. She also attended the Pike-Lincoln Vo-Tech School at Eolia to study phlebotomy.
Margaret had been employed at Ruth Jensen Village in Bowling Green for 12 1/2 years.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Bowling Green.
