Mary Hopkins Bultas

Mary Harriet (Hopkins) Bultas, 74, of Osage Beach, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away on July 31, 2014 at her home with her family at her bedside.

Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 4 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Charles R. Moore officiated. Burial followed at the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana.

She was born May 8, 1940 in Edgewood, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Schambach Moore. On Oct. 3, 1959, she married Billy James Hopkins, who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1994. She married John J. Bultas on March 14, 1998, who survives.

Also surviving are her children: John Hopkins of Bowling Green; Jeff Hopkins and wife Connie of Sturgeon; daughter in-law Terri (Hopkins) Mudd and husband Allan of Silex;  and stepson John J. Bultas and wife Margaret of Eureka.  Grandchildren include Meredith Miller, Seth Hopkins, Emily Huber, Caleb Hopkins, and Caitlin Hopkins.  Step-grandchildren include Amy Patel, Sheri Terry, Kevin Mudd, Amanda Bultas, Laura Bultas, and Rachel Bultas.  Great-grandchildren include Camryn Miller, Dexter Miller, Miles Huber, Gregory Hopkins, and Evan Patel.

She is further survived by her brothers: Charles Moore and wife Marie and Daniel Moore and wife Eleanor of Louisiana; sisters in-law Evalie Moore and LuAnn Watson of Bowling Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul Gregory on Dec. 2, 1992; brothers Fred and Stevie Moore; sisters Bessie Gollaher, Minnie Carlton and Donna Darland; and stepson Roy Wayne Hopkins.

She was raised in Clarksville and graduated from Clopton High School in the class of 1959. She was a cosmetologist and owned and operated Triple H Beauty Salon in Bowling Green for 35 years. She was an active member of the Elkettes at the Elks Lodge 791 in Louisiana.  She spent her summer months in Osage Beach and her winter months in Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.  She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, boating, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers were: Larry Moore, David Moore, Randy Moore, Steve Gamm, Scott Gamm and Bobby Gene Garner. Active pallbearers were: Seth Hopkins, Caleb  Hopkins, Kevin Mudd, Clayton Miller, Willy Huber and Brent Moore.
