Pike County Nurses Board met April 12, at 10 a.m. in the first floor conference room of Pike County Hospital.
Eleven members were present, with the president, Pam Tipton, bringing the meeting to order.
The board reviewed six applications for the nursing field, and those
applicants, who attended, were interviewed by the board.
Two $3,000 scholarships were awarded. One was received by Stephanie Walker, who is working towards a nurse practitioner degree. The other
went to Shelby Renner, who has received her acceptance letter to Blessing Hospital nursing program for an RN degree.
Minutes and treasurers report were read and approved. Katie Danuser thanked the board for their help in her education.
There was discussion about how to raise funds to continue awarding scholarships.
Delicious refreshments were provided by the Eolia members. The next meeting is April 11, 2015 at 10 a.m.
