Anyone who applied for a job at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana or who completed forms through the hospital’s website may have had their information compromised in a data breach, according to PCMH Administrator and CEO Justin Selle.
According to Selle, the data breach occurred when an unauthorized third party hacked FastHealth, the company that maintains the county hospital’s website. FastHealth has managed the county hospital’s website for three years, according to Selle.
FastHealth is based in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and provides website and operational tools and services to hundreds of hospitals throughout the United States.
The FastHealth data breach happened in early November, according to a company letter dated April 23, 2018.
