The staff and administration of the Hannibal Free Clinic are inviting area residents to join them on September 9 for the third annual Rib and Wing festival.
The festival will be held at the Mark Twain Cave picnic area beginning at noon on September 9. The festival ends at 5 p.m.
For a small entry fee, attendees will receive rib and wing samples and sides. Both the ribs and wings are being prepared by local award-winning barbecue teams. The cost to attend is $10 for adults and $5 for children 5-12, children under 5 will be free.
There will also be live music courtesy of T-Zers 2 from noon to 2 p.m. and Steppin’ Back from 2 to 5 p.m.
This year the event will feature over 1000 racks of ribs, more than double the amount from last year, as well as over 300 pounds of wings.
The proceeds from the festival will go to support the Hannibal Free Clinic, a volunteer based clinic that provides basic medical care for uninsured adults between the ages of 18-64.
