The Bowling Green Rotary Club has authorized the Bowling Green Times to announce that the local civic organization is currently accepting applications for this year’s Obed Hall Vocational Service Scholarship. A $500 scholarship will be awarded.
According to officials with the local Rotary Club, qualified applicants must be an adult, either married, or have been married with children. They must also live within Pike County, have an obvious financial need and be receiving additional education to enhance their vocational skills. Applicants may also either be enrolled in a program that leads to certification or an associate’s degree, or be targeting a new career which will require additional education.
Ultimately, qualified applicants must also be planning on returning to work or live in Pike County upon completion of their schooling.
The applicants will also be asked to provide a brief outline of their education, significant accomplishments, employment and educational goals.
Applications may be picked up a the financial Aid office at the Pike/Lincoln Technical Center or obtained by contacting the Bowling Green High School Counseling Office from Allison Brandt, Counselor or Katie Splain, Guidance Department Secretary.

Filing deadline is Friday, December 15, 2017.
