It may take four or five months to complete, but Pike County Road Department employees began the long process of giving the county roads a summertime cleaning Thursday, May 29, said County Road Supervisor Sean O’Brien.
Crews began the mowing process in the Tarrants Village community and will be moving throughout the county in the coming weeks.
O’Brien wanted to remind everyone that what his employees are doing is more than just mowing the ditches.
“We are clearing everything up to our easements,” O’Brien said. “It takes a little bit longer to clear everything up but we are going to take our time and do this right.”
