Bennie and Tonya Teasley and family of Bowling Green were among the 108 families honored during the Missouri State Fair’s Farm Family Day, Aug. 13.
The Teasley’s were selected as the Pike Missouri State Fair Farm Family by the Pike County extension council and local Farm Bureau. The family includes Teagan and Payton.
Each year the fair sets aside a day to recognize farm families from across the state who are active in their community, involved in agricultural activities and who participate in local outreach and extension educational programs such as 4-H and FFA.
“We are honored to have such an active agriculturally based family based family represent Pike County at the Missouri State Fair,” commented Patty Fisher, County Program Director.
The annual event was sponsored by Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri State Fair, University of Missouri Extension and the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
