The American Red Cross has authorized the Bowling Green Times to announce that there are three blood drives scheduled this week in Pike County.
The first blood drive, which is sponsored by the Frankford First Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church’s Crusaders Class, is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Frankford Community Center. The Frankford Community Center is located at 219 East Main Street in Frankford.
The second blood drive, which is sponsored by the St. Clement Knights of Columbus, is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in St. Clement. The hall is located near the intersection of Hwy. J and Hwy. 161. Off-street parking is available.
The third blood drive, which is being sponsored by the Curryville Presbyterian Church, will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, in the church fellowship hall. The church is located at 200 East Main Street, which is also known as Highway 54, in Curryville. Off-street parking is available.
As there is an urgent need for blood donors, all those interested in participating in the aforementioned blood drives are encouraged to call 1-800-733-2767 to schedule an appointment or to check availability at an upcoming blood drive.
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile is expected to return to Pike County on Sept. 26, for a blood drive at Bowling Green High School. The blood drive is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.
