YMCA to commence after school program

Posted on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 3:11 pm

The Twin Pike Y and the Bowling Green, Clopton, Louisiana, and Boncl school districts are very pleased to inform Pike County K-6 parents that the 21st CCLC programs for extended school day care have been approved for the 2012-2013 school year.

They are sorry that the extended school day programs were not available at the beginning of this school year, but there were factors involved beyond their local control.

They want to inform all parents that the programs will be available starting Monday, Sept. 17 at all Twin Pike Y extended school day sites at all Pike County elementary schools (Frankford, Bowling Green, Clopton, Boncl, and Louisiana).

If a child has previously been enrolled in their programs, they will be working with the same site coordinator.  Those coordinators and contact phone numbers are:

Boncl – Cassie Huckstep Spangler, 573-754-5412.

Bowling Green/Frankford -Ethel Drew/Denise Ash, 573-324-9991.

Clopton – Kathy Gregory, 573-242-3546 x416 or 573-485-2488 x416.

Louisiana – Melinda Brooks, 573-754-6099 or 573-754-0270.

There are some changes with some of the requirements in the program.  Please contact your site coordinator for details and registration information.  There has been a reduction in the fees for the programs.
