We asked, and you commented. Last week, with the goal of getting everyone in the Christmas spirit, the Bowling Green Times asked its Facebook followers about their Christmas memories. Here are some of the answers we received…
“This week, we’d like to get in the Christmas spirit!
What has been your favorite Christmas gift or experience? This year, last year, any year!”
“ It is the same every year: O Holy Night sung at Midnight Mass. It chokes me up every year.” – FrBill Peckman
“My favorite part has been this year seeing all the happy faces. And communities pull together to help the ones in need…. I know ive enjoyed seeing the faces of the mothers and knowing we made such a difference in their lives” – Stefanie Wideman
“My very favorite Christmas memory was asking Santa for my own horse. I was just sure he could hook it up and it would fly here with the reindeer! Christmas morning my parents took me to the barn and, sure enough, there was “Brownie!” I treasure the magic of Santa!” – Christina Allensworth
“I remember it must of been the Christmas of 62. Woke up Christmas morning and Santa gave me a Tonka. Jeep Charakee with a camper shell. And pulling a boat. Went and put a rope on the front of the truck. Spent the whole day pulling it in the snow” – Jimmy J Matta
