Posted on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 1:55 pm

Bowling Green’s White Rose Baptist Church will be holding a Youth Revival on May 9 and 10 at 7 p.m.

“Young, old, we are all God’s children.”

The event will feature Youth Choirs, Instrumentals, and Praise Dancers.

The speaker for the two nights will be Minister Payton Parker, Youth Pastor from  St. James UMC in Pine Bluff, Ark. and graduating senior at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Parker, at 20 years of age, is a young preacher passionate about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to whomever will listen.

Raised in Merriville, Ind., Parker has recognized the hand of God on his life at a very tender age. He recognized God’s call to ministry while still in high school, but answered the call March 10, 2013 when he preached his first sermon.

Now, as a graduating senior (December 2014) majoring in Business Management at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) and Youth Pastor at St. James UMC in Pine Bluff, Ark., he strives to please God and serve His people. Upon graduation, Payton plans to further his education and go to seminary to obtain the Master of Divinity.

Park is the son of Elliot and Shelly Parker, the grandson of Pastor Marvin Davis, and the brother of Elliot III and Sheridan Parker.
